The Dexcom G6 Receiver is a display device that shows glucose readings and trending information, alerting the user when high or low glucose thresholds are reached. This advanced device works seamlessly with the Dexcom G6 Transmitter to provide real-time glucose readings. The Receiver features its own touch screen, eliminating the need for a smartphone.
Compatible smart devices can be used to display results collected by the Dexcom G6 Sensor. Glucose readings collected by the Dexcom G6 sensor are sent via the G6 transmitter to the G6 receiver for display, analysis and share capabilities.
To use the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System, the Dexcom G6 Transmitter, Dexcom G6 Sensors, and a qualifying smart device or the Dexcom G6 Receiver are required.

- Transmitter: Fastened on top of the sensor; sends data wirelessly via Bluetooth to the wearer's display device (3-month lifespan).
- Exceptional Accuracy: With MARD as low as 6.2% for pediatric patients on day 7 of sensor use, and an overall MARD of 9.0%.
- No Routine Fingersticks or Scanning:. Patients can prick their finger a whole lot less, and eliminate the burden of manual sensor scans.
- Custom Alerts and Alarm: Customizable high and low glucose alerts, and an Urgent Low Soon alert that proactively warns users if they will be ≤ 3.1 mmol/L within 20 minutes.

You may have pharmacy coverage for Dexcom through your insurance, which would allow you to get supplies at your local pharmacy.
You will receive transmitter end of battery life alerts on your display device. You should use the transmitter until you receive the message to pair a new transmitter.
